Before you start

A system that supports custom Workout views; entry points and metrics vary by version.

More information is not always better. Decide what you need to answer during a run, such as how long you have been running and how your pace feels, then arrange the screens around it.

01Open the workout settings

Open Workout, find Outdoor Run, and tap the Views button. On older versions, you may need More > Workout Views; use the official guide below to switch versions.

02Choose the views you need

Use Include to choose pages. In Metrics, tap Edit and select what to show; use Reorder when you need a different order. Start with time, distance, and average pace.

03Try it on a short run

During your next workout, turn the Digital Crown to browse screens. Check readability and order, then make changes after you stop.

That’s it

You can reach the metrics you need without searching through screens during a workout.

Questions you may have

Why is a running metric missing?

Some metrics require specific hardware, system versions, or workout conditions. Check Apple’s requirements rather than assuming another person’s screenshot applies to every model.
